Country reports

Where care is, and how you get to it.

One report per country. How the system is actually entered, what a published price does and does not include, what it is genuinely good at, and what we would not arrange there. Each figure carries a reference.

  • China

    China's best hospitals are public.

Accreditation sorts for private facilities and leaves out the hospitals Chinese patients queue for. The International Department is the way in, and two things there we will not arrange.

  • Türkiye

    Turkey publishes its prices.

More openly than anywhere else in this market, which is how people end up comparing two numbers that were never measuring the same thing.

  • South Korea

Two million patients. Most came for skin.

Almost two thirds came for dermatology and nearly nine in ten were seen at clinic level. What Korea is famous for and what it is quietly excellent at are different things.
